System Overview

Use the eCyte 6 to develop custom protocols for stimulation, intensity training, and pacing.

The eCyte 6 from NanoSurface Biomedical is an integrated system for long-term electrical stimulation of excitable cells in vitro. Featuring six fully-programmable multi-modal stimulation channels and an intuitive software interface, the eCyte 6 enables highly flexible pacing experiments.

Electrical signals are an important aspect of the native cellular microenvironment. Electrical pacing has been demonstrated to significantly impact the development of cells and tissues in vitro, including the differentiation and maturation of iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes, neurons, and skeletal muscle.

Key System Features

Fully Customizable Electrical Pacing Routines

Take full control of stimulation mode, amplitude, frequency, pulse width, stimulation duration, and timing across all six channels independently.

Powerful and Intuitive Software

Quickly and easily program complex multi-segment electrical pacing protocols with NaOMI software.

Flexible Hardware Configurations

Stimulate cultures in any format using universal connectors. Adapt the eCyte 6 to either standard cell cultureware formats or custom cell culture platforms.

Cytostretcher Compatibility

Fully compatible with NanoSurface Cytostretcher instruments, enabling simultaneous mechanical and electrical stimulation, and programable synchronization of stretch events and electrical stimulation pulses.

Integrate with External devices

TTL based trigger functions for advanced timing and synchronization. Trigger-in: trigger pre-programed stimulation protocols with external devices. Trigger-out: trigger external devices with the eCyte 6.
